13 years after covering the UC Berkeley tree sit, I am serendipitously reunited with Jeff. He was one of the last tree sitters to show up, mask-less and using his real name, at the 2007-2008 protest. We discuss how attitudes change over time and the pitfalls with contemporary idealism.
